This is an MA61 rear disc rotor after I got it back from the engineering
shop. The stud pattern has been re-drilled to 5x114.3mm, and the
centre hole has been machined from 60mm to 67mm. |
 |
This is an MA61 rear trailing arm with an MS123 Crown hub fitted.
A 5 tonne press is required to get the hubs off, but it fits without
modification; the bearings are the same. |
 |
Here is the modified rotor mounted on the hub. |
 |
And again from the side. The MA61 caliper bracket fits as before;
the new hubs have not changed the offset. |
 |
Installing it is pretty straightforward, just remove the old trailing
arms and install the new ones! |
 |
Here's some photos of the old (4-stud) trailing arms next to the new
(5-stud) ones. |

Several skinned knuckles later, here it is installed in the car. |

As an interim measure I purchased some 16" Hilux steel rims to get
around on while I wait for my camber kit to be finished. This plan
failed when I realised the Hilux rims have too much offset; you can't see
it here but the inside of the tyre is touching the top of the inner guard. |

So now I'm left with no choice, I have to buy some tyres for my 17"
alloys. First I did a test-fit to check for clearance... no
problems. |
 |
And here we see the 17" alloys fitted with new 255/40 rubber.
I'm pleased to report there are no clearance problems with the tyres
fitted, and nothing scrapes anywhere. Plus it looks great! |
